HMRC Travel DiscountsWe've received some information from members about obtaining discounts on season tickets. Nobody in the office has tried it out, but we thought it would be worth sharing! "I've just repeated this process and got another year's 10% discount - I can't *believe* it's a secret, but neither the NXEA website nor ours has anything on it at all, the original Intranet page having long since been deleted. (I believe it also used to cover c2c).....the Annual ticket also provides a lot of other money-saving benefits....all the same ones whether you travel one stop each day or the whole way into London. |
"For NXEA the number
is 0845 600 7245 (8am-6pm), option 3 then option 2. You need to apply
4-5 days in advance and tell them where you work - you may have to
mention "Customs & Excise" as well as "HMRC"
but the lady I spoke to said it does cover both old-money Departments.
On their lovely new system (with only 3 staff until next week! -
sounds familiar?) we are in the "Move Easy" group of
companies.
"You will also need your photocard number and a credit/debit card to do it on the phone - this is only available by the phone route and for one month or more seasons.
